Intellectual Property

Novalar’s™ first patent series contains method and dosage claims and has received
its first three issued patents on the technology. Novalar has also filed patent applications
worldwide (beginning in May 2000) to protect not only the method of using alpha-adrenergic
antagonists to reverse local dental anethesia, but also stabilizing phentolamine through its
novel formulations. Novalar continues to find ways to expand its intellectual property
coverage for phentolamine.
